The Refinery Collective is a Christian mentoring, discipleship, and formation organisation dedicated to the development of girls and young women.

Our Story

It began with a question

Who is intentionally helping our girls become who God created them to be?

As we listened to the experiences of young people and families, we became aware of a growing gap. Many young women were navigating the most important years of their lives without intentional discipleship, mentorship, identity formation, or meaningful guidance — while being shaped by an ever-increasing number of voices competing for their attention, loyalty and belief.

Many young women were receiving information; fewer were receiving formation. While many churches provide excellent ministry opportunities, there remains a significant need for intentional formation, mentoring, discipleship and identity development. The Refinery Collective was established as a response to that need.

Why the Refinery

Refining is a process

It is intentional. It requires patience. It purifies. It reveals what is valuable. It removes what hinders. It strengthens what remains.

We are not interested in helping girls become someone else. We are committed to helping them discover and develop who God created them to be.

Truth — Our Foundation

Truth is not merely a concept but a Person: Jesus Christ. We help girls anchor their lives in the unchanging truth of God’s Word. “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

The Holy Spirit — Our Power Source

Lasting transformation is not manufactured through programmes. We partner with the Holy Spirit, who forms character, reveals identity and empowers every young woman to flourish.

Love — Our Culture

Love is the atmosphere in which everything exists here — how we lead, serve and disciple, so every girl feels seen, known, valued and safe. “We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Discipleship — Our Method

Discipleship is far more than transferring knowledge; it is the lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus through relationship, teaching, practice and community. Matthew 28:19

Safeguarding Is Everyone’s Responsibility

The safety and wellbeing of every young person is central to everything we do. Our measures include enhanced DBS checks, safeguarding training, codes of conduct, risk assessments, incident reporting procedures, confidentiality guidelines, appropriate supervision and clear escalation pathways.
